How to Use Google Search Terms Properly


So you think you know how to use google search well maybe you do but here are some tips that I  use to find exactly what I want on google!

 

Quotes use “” to search for the exact words great for song lyrics.

Dash use – before a word to exclude it from search.

Tilde use ~ This will include the word in the synonyms.

[symple_box color=”yellow” text_align=”left” width=”100%” float=”none”]
Example Explore ~sea

Query of a site use Site:web address This will search within that site on the web

[symple_box color=”yellow” text_align=”left” width=”100%” float=”none”]
Example Site:deltastriketeam/allaboutnothing.com
[/symple_box]

 

Links of  a site use link:web address this will link to of the site.

[symple_box color=”yellow” text_align=”left” width=”100%” float=”none”]
Example link:deltastriketeam
[/symple_box]

 

Two periods use 2000..2005 between  two numbers for dates and measurements.

[symple_box color=”yellow” text_align=”left” width=”100%” float=”none”]

Example Movies 2000..2005

Related query use related:web address to show sites that relate

Calculations pretty simple just put in the search your calculation

Currency conversion use £ to $ to convert  I use this a lot

Measurement conversions use feet in/to inches great tool for cooking and measuring on the fly or buying things on the web and you want a quick convert

100 feet in inches
[/symple_box]

 

Define I use a lot simple Define: then the word great for people like me who are a bit thick and need to understand a word.
